Introducing BEST Forum

Data and Discussions in Brachytherapy Efficacy, Safety and Treatment

In May, Cianna Medical launched BEST Forum, a new educational resource for physicians to obtain the latest findings and research in breast brachytherapy and gain insights into best practices and available technology.

 BEST Forum

Both online and in person, BEST Forum brings together world-renowned thought leaders in the field of breast cancer care to discuss their extensive experiences and research in brachytherapy, treatment and clinical outcomes.

At the BEST Forum website, physicians can view presentations from brachytherapy experts, as well as download white papers, presentation slides and supporting clinical data, and register for future presentations.

BEST Forum: Volume 1

Practical Application of Patient Selection Criteria

Robert Kuske, MD, FAACE, of Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists in Scottsdale, Ariz., discusses the origin and common misconceptions about the current ASTRO guidelines for the use of ABPI.

In addition to discussing his own experiences, he reviews the emerging data, particularly in more controversial subsets, such as women with ER negative tumors, DCIS, and younger age (< 60 years). Dr. Kuske also explains how strut-based brachytherapy can expand the ability to treat eligible patients where anatomical restrictions prevent the use of balloons.
