Second Site Treats Patients with SAVITM Applicator
 
The University of California, San Diego has now expanded their cutting-edge breast brachytherapy program to include the SAVI applicator.  Radiation oncologist Dr. Catheryn Yashar successfully treated patients with SAVI last month in San Diego. 
 
Also, physicians shared their experiences with "Cavity Conforming Brachytherapy" at an ASBD Satellite Symposium in San Francisco.  A summary of the event is available below.
 

UCSD Adds SAVI to Breast Brachytherapy Program

The University of California, San Diego has now successfully treated breast cancer patients with the SAVI applicator.  The devices were placed by radiation oncologist, Dr. Catheryn Yashar, who has introduced SAVI into UCSD's cutting-edge breast brachytherapy program.
